At the December meeting of the BCC, the council was made aware of plans by Royal Bank of Scotland to close both their Juniper Green and Chesser branches. This understandably raised some concern - particularly due to the recent closures of banks in Balerno and Currie - and the Chair followed this matter up with local councillors and Joanna Cherry QC MP.
