​VARIOUS ROADS - EDINBURGH
PROPOSED INTRODUCTION AND AMENDMENT OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS
 
I refer to our previous letter of 5 September 2025 regarding the above.
 
In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, I write to inform you that the City of Edinburgh Council proposes to advertise the Traffic Regulation Orders which will:
 
1.    Introduce waiting restrictions that operate at any time on Baberton Avenue, Baberton Park, Calder Road (service road nos. 187 to 385), Colinton Mains Drive, Colinton Mains Road, Craighall Road, Cramond Glebe Gardens, Duddingston Avenue, Duddingston Loan, Durham Drive, Durham Road, East Trinity Road, Fillyside Road, Harlaw March, Harlaw Road, Hesperus Crossway, Lanark Road, Laverockbank Terrace, Lixmount Avenue, Longstone Road, Merlin Avenue, Mountcastle Bank, Mountcastle Drive North, Northfield Drive, Parkgrove Avenue, Parkgrove Terrace, Parkhead Street, Pinkhill, St. Clair Avenue, St. Clair Road, St. Katharine’s Brae and Stanley Road;
2.    Extend existing waiting restrictions that operate at any time on Ferry Road, Lanark Road, Longstone Road and Roseburn Cliff;
3.    Introduce a waiting restriction & loading prohibition that operates at any time on Barnton Park View; and
4.    Extend an existing waiting restriction and loading prohibition that operates at any time on Barnton Park View.
 
The proposals relating to this Order can be viewed online at consultation.appyway.com/edinburgh-city, from 28 November 2025 to 19 December 2025 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference TRO/25/01. Alternatively, you can view the documents free of charge at Waverley Court Reception between 9:30 & 15:30 Monday to Friday during the same period. You can also register for email or text alerts via the Tell Me Scotland portal at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk which also provides details of this proposal.
 
Should you wish to submit an objection to the proposal, please follow the “Respond to consultation” button during the period specified above.
 
All objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any particular location/s or element/s of the proposals, it would be helpful if you could identify those in your response.
