Members of Balerno Community Council are meeting City of Edinburgh Council officials to talk about plans for winter gritting.
Last year, a cold snap meant that pavements and streets on side roads were not gritted leaving residents struggling to get to public transport and local shops.
Locals do not want a repeat, hence the meeting.
